Great chapter! We need to be more like Christ. First, let go of all the old stuff - this is tuff because we let the past hold us back from the future. The grudges we hold and cannot let them go. Just think how free we would be if we just let it all go. "Everything connected with the old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it." I do think this is a difficult one for all of us. We have been hurt in the past and at times it keeps us from moving forward. Second, we must change the way we think. "Let the spirit change your way of thinking." God wants us to be more like him and in order to do this we need to allow the holy spirit to do its work. We are older and it makes it more difficult to change the way we think because we are so used to it. However, I will continue to pray about allowing the hold spirit to change my way of thinking. There are some things I struggle with though. I know God feels that gay people should not be gay and a man and woman should be together. However, I really struggle with this because I feel like they should live how they would like to live. There are so many loving gay families that adopt children and give them a new life - so this is something I really struggle to find the truth in. Third we must put on the character of christ by developing new godly habits. I try to think of God everytime I am doing something and of course I slip up and sin as we all do. I always think would I do that in front of God.
On another note: I know a lot of us have slipped on reading and posting on our blogg. There is no judgement and I know we are busy BUT remember how you feel when you read and write in the blogg - don't you feel better? I know I feel better and my day is smoother and I feel closer to God. Just something to think about. I love you all.
