Worship has always confused me and after reading this chapter I think I know why. Simply so many different ways to worship God. I really like the way said so many people do it in such different ways and God's wants you to do it your own unique way. He made everyone unique so each will worship differently. Accurately worship made me think about the different ways I perceive God and how he is truly portrayed in the bible. It inpspired me to go back to the bible and truly find out what I think God is about. As it mentions in the book he looks past our words to see the attitude of our hearts. There are so many times that I'm brain dead at church. It needs to be sincere and not just rehearsed. Once again being true to him is being true to who you really are. It states the best style of worship is the one that most authentically represents your love of God, based on background and personality.
I want my worship to be a reflection of my love for God I want to be present and aware of him. I pray that we all learn true worship habits especially those practices that best fit who we are.
God wants all of you! "Worship is our spirit responding to Gods Spirit." The biggest distraction of worship is myself. I know that is true. When I speak to God or am worshipping God there are so many things distracting me from what I am doing. I do not mean to allow this to happen but at times I do. I think us moms get mixed up and do not take the quiet time we need to reflect with God because there is so much going on. We need to be authentic and really give him the time he deserves.
